What We do

I of all people understand the feeling of loss when one of our loved passes away and although nothing anyone can say or do seems to ease that sense of loss here at LESLEY ASHTON, Independent Funeral Directors will endeavour to help and guide you through the sad and unfortunate situation of having to arrange a dignified and respectful funeral for your loved one.  From the first point of contact you and your loved one will be treated with dignity and respect and I can advise you on the very next steps to take. Please rest assured that your loved one will be safe and cared for while in my care, from the moment we collect them from the place where they passed away to their committal at your chosen crematorium/cemetery.

The funeral service can be tailored to you and your loved one's wishes, whether it be the traditional style, for example a church service/requiem mass followed by the interment in a cemetery or a committal at a crematorium or even something a little different such as a celebration of one's life held at a woodland burial park, such as Greenacres which is situated in Rainford, St Helens.  The funeral arrangements can be as simple or elaborate as you wish, so for instance if cost is another worry then we can discuss how to keep the funeral costs to a minimum.

You and your family are encouraged to call into my funeral home to discuss all you requirements for your loved one's last wishes regarding the funeral arrangements.   We can discuss a provisional date and time for the funeral that suits you, I can give you a choice of the style of coffin you may require, the type of hearse of you may need (motor, horse drawn carriage, motor cycle even a Land Rover), if any limousines are required, and how you would you like your loved one to be dressed.  I will also listen to your thoughts on other specifics that will be needed to make the day go as smoothly and be a special as possible, as I understand it's the very last thing you and your family  can do for your loved one.  If it is too difficult for you to come into the funeral home to begin the arrangements then you are welcome to make an appointment for me to come out to your home to discuss the funeral arrangements.
